Just about every Highlands Winery bottle we’ve shared with our members over the last seven years has sold out. They’re some of the biggest fan-favorites in Wine Access history, accruing glowing member-reviews and always sparking dozens of inquiries about when we’re getting more in stock.
We’re now thrilled to offer you a limited, back-vintage allocation of the 2016 Highlands Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Coombsville.
The 2016 Napa Valley vintage was rated 98 points by Wine Spectator—placing it in Napa’s top three years ever. This bottle—from a stellar site near Palmaz in the same AVA that stars like Paul Hobbs and Andy Erickson (Favia) are making famous—displays the season’s fruit-driven, ripe, hedonistic style, and it’s drinking beautifully after seven years in the Highlands cellar.
A Napa veteran, Segas acquired top vineyards in the 1970s, and they earned him a roster of A-list clients like Joseph Phelps, Chateau Montelena, and Robert Mondavi. He partnered with Dave Cofran—a UC Davis alum from the class that produced winemaking talents like Justin Meyer and Ric Forman—and they’ve since become some of the most consistent hitmakers in the Valley.
To create their Reserve Cabernet, the duo tapped their friend Tom Farella, a 40-year veteran grower and winemaker in Coombsville. Farella’s such a pioneer in the area that he wrote the petition in 2009 to have Coombsville formally recognized as an appellation—and in 2011, it became Napa’s 16th AVA, renowned for a moderate climate that comes courtesy of its proximity to San Pablo Bay.
Farella NAILED the 2016 vintage in this Highlands Cab, and in the cellar it will cruise another 5–10 years.

You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
Shipping
